#mako rant

Ok I just have to say it. I really, really don't like Mako. He's seriously the worst thing about the show. I remembered kind of hating him the first time I watched it so I thought I'd try to give him another chance this time, but nope. Pretty much everything he says and does in the entirety of the first two seasons is either so dull and generic as to be instantly forgetable, or so stupid and obnoxious that I just want to punch him through my computer screen. And the plot is trying so hard to make you like him that it's almost painful. Like idk maybe if you want us to like a character actually make him interesting and not just a vehical for useless tropey relationship drama that nobody even wanted in the first place? Broody fuckboy Mako and all the stupid drama that comes with him is the weakest part of the show, and I wish they would have used all the time they wasted on it to actually develop a more cohesive group dynamic among Team Avatar. I'm just glad they dropped it after season 2 and never went back.

Final Mako rant of the series? 

Look, I was never a big "Mako fangirl" and I was massively in love with Bolin. In the latest episode, I really fell for Mako's "Mother Hen" attitude. Everyone keeps getting so fussy over the fact that he "shouldn't have let Asami on" and all that. (Personally, I think Asami should run off with Korra and have little adopted Korasami babies) But we have to look past that, and remember that at Mako's age, hormones rage and he'll defiantly be confused over love and other feelings. (Remember that fight he had with his brother? That would be more of these hormones guys, it's part of growing up into a Man.) I'd also like to add that it IS possible to have feelings for more than one person. How are we suppose to know who we'll spend forever with? You can call it fate, destiny, or whatever. All in all, I'm just trying to say that Mako is growing up, and his love life is supposed to be a journey that he has to conquer, no matter the bumps along the way.
