Scoping this zine out that I picked up from @burningbooks this past weekend. We’re almost ready at our new space to have a wonderful schedule of classes, potlucks, movie nights, art shows, music and more. 2019 is going to be our launch of that space within our facility. It’s been a long time coming. It’s taken serious time to build to this. I appreciate all who have helped and continue to. We have always felt we help bring a wider audience to our events because we aren’t a bar, or a huge institution with ‘guidelines’ and whatnot. We nurture education, the arts and of course fungi and other sciences. But how can we make it even better and safer and more family vibes!? Well let’s see if this little booklet can give me some ideas. Not only am I taking some of these lessons to my shop but also applying them to future gatherings I help organize like the @newmoonmycologysummit It’s important folks feel welcomed, heard, appreciated and inspired. People shouldn’t feel weird, ashamed, harassed, judged or unsafe here, there and everywhere. We gotta hold ourselves and other accountable. Speak up for those not able to, or who are systematically silenced. It’s a lot of work. But it’s that good work. That solidarity vibes. This zine was written by the lead singer of the band @waronwomen which is dope! We have a show at Smugtown tomorrow with the loves of or life @greendreamsdotcom and out of town band called @leggyband Expect some hot chaga to sip on, oh yes, serving nonalcoholic beverages all night, like water and tea!
