I've been more into the gloss look lately, but gloss isn't my favorite, I prefer lip oils!
This is the Macabre Lip Oil a PH affect color changing Lip Oil! I like to leave the Lip Oil on, but there's always the option for blotting off excess oil & going for the light Lip stained look 😍 that it leaves.
Either way your lips 💋 will be luciously soft, very vampy either glossy or not.

Jeffree Star
People really forget that Jeffree Star compared the experience of black people to the experience of "being a guy in makeup." Like, really hon? Talk about a bitch that doesn't understand systemic racism.

Okay, one thing people do not understand is that capitalism does not have ethics and morals. Capitalism is the economic/political system that cares about gaining money no matter the cost.
Now, capitalism isn’t necessarily all bad, but let me show you where it gets bad:
Yes, the person is allegedly racist (saying allegedly for legal reasons. So much apparent evidence online seems to prove it though.) And he’s using that controversy to make another couple million. It’s all business to him. Any controversy causes exposure. Using diversity as a sales pitch instead of making the economy more inclusive shows he’s all about money and no change. Anything he does is performative activism. (Very sure y’all know I’m speaking of but I ain’t mentioning names in case he decides to sue my broke ass).
Mind you, this is alleged. Stating that for legal reasons.
Exposure, whether positive or negative, is still exposure. And many companies will keep on doing it as long as it gets them sales and their businesses are not regulated by the government.
Cue the “not regulated by the government” here.
Yes, businesses are regulated slightly and some areas of business are unionized. Sadly some of the most unethical companies have the utmost power to squash any chances of unions forming. (Amazon is the big one here.) And many makeup brands create controversies fueled by racism to get their products into people’s minds and causes a hike in sales upon return. As a result, it creates a more hostile environment/economy for BIPOC and other groups by showing “oh you’re not worth our money” or “your only worth is through what we sell to you.”
What bullshit.
Not only should companies be fined and more for banking on unethical practices such as racism and other practices that will make this post too long for y’all to read. But that one is the biggest one.
In short: It needs to stop. It needs to be federally regulated.
Just simple ethics need to be enacted into law to make sure companies don’t use BIPOC and other vulnerable groups for their capital gain. People should be able to unionize, and the company/trade they work for shouldn’t be allowed to put a stop to it.
We need the government to actually be for the people - not the faceless businesses that are gaining more and more in power because of deregulation.
What exactly needs to be enacted? Sadly, I’m not sure what can be put into law legally as I’m not a lawmaker. I do hope this starts a conversation that gets to as many people as possible, which can end up in a lawmaker’s conversation, and it can start the good change our country needs.
For now, all we can do is not buy from these companies, but sadly there can be a double edged sword. Their companies in turn help create jobs and thus helping people survive in the cutthroat economy.
But!!!! The people in charge should have thought of them before they pulled their bullshit.
Ethics need to be put into our capitalist economy. Maybe then, we’ll finally see a decline in racism and true equality in our country at last. Maybe then... we’ll finally see the country and economy we actually want.
say what you want about James Charles idc but you’ve got to admit this 19 year old kid has handled the whole situation a lot more maturely than these two 30+ year olds
