Summertime make-up essentials 💖
As soon as the sun starts to hit a little bit hotter and brighter, I always reevaluate my daily make-up 💄 This can be a bit hard for me sometimes as I love a full coverage base and a strong lip, but in blazing daylight this can often look too heavy and unnatural so I try my best to lighten things up while still covering any redness and blemishes that I have👌
Here are some of my top summer picks:
✨The You Do You Multi-Use Glow Balm by Collection Cosmetics (£5.99) - This is a glitter-free cream highlighter stick that I like to use on my cheekbones, nose and brow bones for a golden, glowy look 😍 I’m really not a fan of glittery highlighters in general but particularly not in the strong summer sun, so this is an ideal option for a radiant, healthy-looking base 🙌 You can also use this on your collarbone, shoulders or anywhere else you want to highlight and soften, as well as on your eyebrows and lashes (something I haven’t tried yet but will have to put to the test!)
✨ Becca x Barbie Ferreira Limited Edition 3D Plumping Lip Gloss (a set of 3 cost £15) - Summer just screams lip gloss, doesn’t it? This one adds a hint of pink that’s packed with shimmer, making lips look plumper and almost holographic 👽 It’s super thick and non-sticky, and I’m so glad I got this with two other shades while they were available 🙏
✨ Eyeko Eyelash Curler (can’t find the exact one on the website but should be around £12) - Eyelash curling is an essential step for me to get the curly, lifted lashes of my dreams! I gently clamp this on each eye for 10 seconds, and instantly my lashes are exaggerated and primed for mascara 👁 Truly an effortless way to flutter your lashes all day long in the summer heat 🌞
