I’m so sick and tired of the Julian Kostov controversies. So I’m here to lay it down SIMPLE for all of you.

First accusation:

He’s a zionist.

According to some, because he liked one post talking about Israel four years ago, he must be a zionist. Maybe he was back then, we don’t know. But as of late, attached to this post are things he’s been posting on his story. If you wanna believe people can’t change, then that’s your own sad prerogative and I hope others give you the same amount of grace you give them when you try and better yourself.

Second accusation:

He canceled signings / didn’t give refunds.

I haven’t seen genuine proof for this other than someone saying “it happened to my friend.” No paystubs, no dates or proof. Whatever.

Third accusation:

He’s ?? Inappropriate towards children.

This all started from a single slideshow post on tiktok, and the poster immediately frames the situation in poor lighting. They claim the majority of Julian’s following consist of "underage” individuals, and that he asked underage fans how much they watch porn, DIRECTLY.

First, here’s some backstory: Julian Kostov is primarily known for his role as Makarov in MW3. A rated R game. His other notable projects? White Lotus. Rated R. Fight or Flight. Rated R. Another Mother's Son. Rated R.

His entire professional portfolio is built on mature, adult-oriented content. Now, can I say with certainty that zero underage people are fans of his? No. But it is equally dishonest to claim that the MAJORITY of his audience is underage without a single data point to back that up.

And beyond that, the question was sent on an Instagram fan channel. Fan channels are not daycare centers bruv. They are not spaces uniquely designed for children. If a minor is accessing an adult creator's content, that is a parenting and platform conversation, not a reason to villainize the creator for expressing themselves in a way they see fit.

My next focus is on the context they conveniently left out.

When you look at what m4r1ya8888 (og poster on tiktok) chose to include in their slideshow, and what they chose to leave out, it paints a very specific picture. And to be honest, I was put off for a brief moment before I did my own research. And of course, I figured out the truth from that.

Before Julian ever posted that poll, he had already shared a reel created by a different creator that discusses the harmful effects of porn on relationships and mental health. He followed it up with a personal message about his own struggle, and how significantly his life improved after quitting. This isn’t predatory behavior. This is harm reduction messaging that he wanted to share with his following, the people who look up to him. This is a vulnerability that he admitted to. And somehow, that got pushed as predatory behavior… Which tells me either they didn't do their research, or they did and chose to omit it anyway out of malice. Neither reflects well on them.

Last point, but arguably the most important one I want to make…

Calling someone a PREDATOR or a PEDOPHILE is not a light accusation. It is one of the most serious allegations you can level at a human being, and throwing it around loosely; based on a screenshot, with missing context, because you saw it in someone else's post, is genuinely harmful and DISGUSTING behavior. This is not just about Julian, whose career and reputation can be damaged by this, but to everyone. Because every time that word gets misused and weaponized for internet drama, it becomes a little bit harder for real victims of real predators to be taken seriously. You’re not an ally. You are hurting the cause.
