Well, I think it really depends on what happens with Scott's dad and how Scott takes it.
If it's the most likely situation where the dad's dead and Scott doesn't take it very well, I can see Nom either comfort Scott or give him some space to grieve and accept. He might feel some guilt for being the one who gave Scott the message and maybe wasted his time but I don't think that either CC!Scott or BF!Scott would put it against him. Iirc based on Nom'd stream today, Nom didn't seem to be that beat up over him being the one to give the letter. But we'll see.
I just hope that Nom will be there for Scott after what happens, not even through a shipping lense since Scott had said that he was closest to Nom out of anyone in the kingdom. And he'll definitely need someone to rely on or even just a shoulder to cry on while he's dealing with all of what will happens.
Nom's parents are also very likely to be dead, plus his situation with Katie, so maybe he'll be able to help Scott through the lens of his own familial pain too.
But we'll see what really will happen in ~2 weeks. I just hope there'll be more comfort than hurt :)
