Eventually, Nintendo started putting most* of the carts out with illustrated labels--the so-called "Picture Label" versions:

*I couldn't find pictures of Famicom "Picture Label" carts for four games with "Pulse Line" carts: Gomoku Narabe Renju, Donkey Kong Jr. Math, Pinball, and Donkey Kong 3; I don't know if that's because Nintendo never released "Picture Label" versions of those carts, or if they did but Google doesn't know about them.

Here’s a proper house with a decent floor plan. Usable, airy, very luminous, and both kids’ rooms are the same size. Laundry room is upstairs, just as having two full baths up there. Double garage is always good to have, and the patio deck is plenty big. If ever I build a new house, this is what I want. Not too big, not too small.

So in my grandparents' attic was my great grandparents Mah Jong set (along with a book on how to play from 1923). I did not know this when, in conversation with my grandma and a few of her friends, I mentioned how I'd always wanted to learn to play.
