I posted this in the Discord and it seemed to resonate with a couple people, so I thought I would repost it here, along with a better explanation of what it means to me.
Each of the points of the star represents a type of intention for a working. The spaces between represent a category/gradient between them. The connecting lines show not only an alternate but opposite type of working that could be done to achieve similar results, but also the equal and opposite results that could come from the spell.
Here is a real life example and part of what inspired this system: let's say I want a new job. I need to craft a spell to help get this new job. A spell to attract the new job into my life makes the most sense, so that's where I start. Notice the in-between spaces on either side: growing and honoring. By attracting a new job I am growing my wealth and resources. I am honoring myself and my worth and abilities. I am also honoring my responsibility to my family.
However, in working any spell, we must consider the consequences. Opposite Attracting are Banishing and Releasing. If I attract this job, it may be released from someone else's life. Someone else will certainly have that job opportunity banished from their life.
These are not necessarily bad things. The person moving out of the position may be moving on to something better for them. Maybe the job would not have been a good fit for the other candidates. Or, maybe someone got fired and another person really needed the job. If I am going to perform this spell, I must accept all of these as possible consequences and be willing to take responsibility for them.
The point of this is not to be paralyzing. The same principals could be applied to every action we take in life. It is only meant to provoke thought behind each intention.
I welcome feedback, input and thoughts, and feel free to copy and modify this for your own workings.
