Magic Pots first appeared in Final Fantasy VIII and reappeared in a few other games.

While technically an enemy, Magic Pots don't actually fight you. Instead, they ask for an elixer, and if you give it to them, they reward you with a lot of AP.

What is your least favourite summon? Favorite monster?

Luckily enough, a summon I don't like and my favorite monster have something in common-- Begging mechanics. Lets compare them.

Magic Pot:

hides in a pot like a coward

asks for elixirs anyone can buy at a store

too lazy to go to the store to buy an elixir

no pupils so clearly untrustworthy

creepy fingers

probably has deformed spider legs hidden inside the pot

Gimmecat:

charming, friendly smile

asks for diamonds, the superior hustle

apex predator who carries a snack with it

I made an equivalent for pot. There’s a little paragraph in my healing magic section about this little plant. 

Iazarde

This silver leafed plant is small and grows in patches in moist dirt on the south-eastern coast of Bitai. It most closely resembles the clover, but with thin, long leaves that curl at the end. 

Once harvested, the leaves are dried and either brewed into potions or smoked through a pipe. It is mostly used by elves and kinelvs, earning it the nickname of Ydall’s Patch. 

Effects include a reduced heartrate, steadier breathing and calming thoughts. Do not give it to those suffering from sorrow. They will nap. And nap. May cause hallucinations if too much is consummed.
