Do you ever think about how when Jon was smiting the other avatars they were usually scared, or just unhappy to leave and then Helen with her last words was cursing him and shouting that he can't save anyone? Do you ever think about the fact that the thing both The Distortions had in common was that before their deaths they both felt anger? Do you ever think about how at first they seem to have been the only allies we could've had within the avatars and in the end they're the ones who probably hate you the most?

Oh Mag 187 Jon. Jon who debated this decision for so long. Jon who seems so human compared to Helen. Who seems so monstrous compared to a human. Jon who is finally actually accepting that he is out of moral choices and good options. That one way or another he is nearing the end. In the center of a maze looking down dead ends and wondering who he could’ve been. And knowing that it doesn’t matter as much as he wanted it to. Jon who sits in that unknowable hotel and sits, in some distorted, spiraling way, both closer and farther from humanity than he has ever been.
