I have seen quite a few people say that Titans are essentially darkness given form, and while I don't think that is entirely wrong, it isn't completely right either. Based on Ralsei's description, I think it is much more fair to say that Titan's are the lightner's fear given form. I think that even explains why they avt as they do, only thinking about destruction as an obstacle. I think that, the darker it becomes, the more abstract ideas can take shape. I think this is also why the Titan in chapter 4 looks as it does. It is a manifestation of all the fears that the lightners who come to the church have. This might even be why it, at first, looks so human, though, again, that will only lead to more speculation and that is not what I'm trying to do.

And that's where my new AU comes.

Welcome to Deltarune : Titanfall

The idea of this AU is that all the secret bosses we meet are darkners turned titans by the shadow crystal they are given (in here called Titan Crystal). Because of this, in order to access them, the player needs to essentially convince the lightners around them to make a new dark fountain within a dark world.

In chapter one, this fountain is made by Susie in a fit of rage.

In chapter two, this fountain is made by a misguided Berdly who thinks this will give them their freedom.

In chapter three, the player must essentially scare Kris into making a dark fountain.

In chapter five, the fountain is made by Orange if you rage bait her enough.

The Crystal Titans

As stated above, the vast majority of Crystal Titans are the secret bosses, a couple are technically not.

•Jevil (In his titan state, he is called Coulrophobia aka the fear of clowns)

•Spamton (In his titan state, he is called Cyberphobia)

•Ramb (In his titan state, he is called Chronophobia, fear of time)

•Lady Mizzle (In her titan state, she is called Thalassophobia, fear of the deep ocean)

•Pink (In her titan state, she is called Somathophobia, fear of your own body)

A few additional notes:

•None of the Crystal Titans can be fought. Doing so will actually heal them.

•The way to beat them is through acts that will diminish their power, like connecting spamton's influence represented by blue cords or laughing alongside Jevil.

•These acts will also help the titans remember who they once were and not only regain control, but also become friends with the party.

•Once defeated, the Crystal Titans will be forced into their concealed form, with a great chunk of their power being kept in the items they give you. These items essentially have a part of their soul.

•No double items this time around. Instead, the items are: A scythe for jevil, a blue and purple pair of glasses for Spamton, the mantle for Ramb, the wand for Pink.

•The glasses and the mantle are armor while the wand can be used by Ralsei and the Scythe by Susie.

•In each battle, the lightners who opened the fountains must also confront their fear in order to succeed.

•Gerson is too goated to ever become a titan. Instead, after defeating him and getting the ax, he will struggle to find the crystal that was given to him. If this happens, during the climbing the titan sequence, Kris can find a secret room where a second titan is located. It is then revealed that the crystal was stolen by a mizzle that now goes by Lady Mizzle. That is the titan (we needed more female secret bosses also)

•At first, Susie will be in her battle blind stage during the fight against Jevil, initially making him stronger. You need to get her to calm down to defeat him.

•In Spamton's battle, the party actually needs a lot of internet knowledge to defeat him, which neither Susie nor Ralsei have (and Kris is, for some reason, very silent about), so you must convince a terrified Berdly to calm down and help you.

•Crystal Titans can all be found in your town after the events of what happened, though all of their rooms are located in the sub basement, which has a hidden entrance in the dungeon.

•MadPap (Trust me bro, this is funny)

•In most versions of this AU, king actually gets killed by Jevil after defeating him. The only way to prevent that from happening is by selecting some very specific actions that will lead to Jevil just knocking him out instead.
