The ep gave me war flashbacks to the bad bad horrible Osu! days, so much so that I really considered dropping it on the spot, which is not a problem with the anime its a good song
Its the definition of cute girls doing cute things, at one point I thought that the teacher would put an obstacle in their path bc. she set a condition for them to get what they want they didn't achieve it, and she still let them do it, because they "tried really hard"
it follows the establish a club, get new members, go to big competition template. no matter how it may seem obstacles will be solved at most by the next episode, cus cute girls have to do cute things
they also act like realistic middle schoolers most of the time (which they literally are) but when did you last have to listen to a 12-14 year old? which as an adult was hard to watch I have to admit

I ligit thought this was made by a cult and after watching it Im not entirely sure that's not the case
It is also an "everything sinks below the ocean bc of natural disasters" story, which at this point I have zero clue how I just happen onto them. This mostly takes place during the immediate disaster relief.
Now the problem starts with how nationalistic this thing is, and it just keeps getting exponentially worse. The first red flags started popping up with the whole "You're Japanese how dare you not die for your country!?" which was weird, but we somehow get to "Japans former colonies (Taiwan, Korea, ect.) should be legally given back to Japan" Where I just held my head and watched on in absolute horror
Not to mention that it was also really boring. It has something that I usually just refer to as statistics warfare, where a bunch of people just sit in a room together and just yell out a bunch of numbers/percentages at each other. And the main dude is not even involved in it! He just loses his memories and gets adopted by a Taiwanese family as a child.
He is also annoyingly pacifistic, in the way that he thinks that both the people massacring people and the people trying to not get massacred do equally nothing wrong
