    "I'm fine." That was his answer to most questions. He was tough. He didn't need comfort with what he knew. But around Nerissa, he could spare a few words aside from the first two he gave. Shuffling slowly across the room, he found some solace in an open chair, groaning into the seat while bringing his head back. He was fine in some areas, but his physical health was subpar.

    Yet, despite how fine he felt, it wasn't all that. He gave a heavy sigh, bringing a hand against his forehead.

IT WAS TOO MUCH. Adam couldn’t have been happier about escaping that bathroom, but the amount of TRAUMA that had come from it was… well, it was too much for a man like him to handle. Adam had always known he was weak; he’d never been MANLY, never been very good at sports, never been muscular, and rarely been able to hide his emotions as easily as other men seemed to.

HE WASN’T STRONG ENOUGH FOR THIS.

Her reassuring words helped, but they didn’t take away from the genuine PAIN he felt in his chest. It hurt to breathe. It felt like his skin was on fire, and he wanted to jump out of it, curl up in his bed and cry himself to sleep — AND NEVER WAKE UP. Adam’s entire body was trembling, his mind trying to focus on Amanda’s words as he attempted to follow her breathing, but he couldn’t seem to calm himself down. He’d been seized by such strong anxiety that he wanted to SCREAM.

It took him a few minutes to calm down. He’d taken as many deep breaths as he could, his body SHUDDERING with each one, his hand clenched around Amanda’s wrist, desperate to feel the warmth of another person to calm him down. And then, FINALLY, his breathing was back to normal. Tears still fell from the corners of his eyes, but he was actually able to inhale without GASPING FOR BREATH.

Drin Dox-Thawne (He/Him)

Drin is an intellectual and silent threat. He is the sort that is always watching and studying others and their reactions, what makes other people tick, planning, thinking, and considering outcomes of other people's actions. He's sociable, friendly, and calm, but in a way that may seem unnerving to those who don't know him and that this is just how he is.

He would have 12th level intelligence I assume (I'm not sure if him having human DNA would alter anything) and while he doesn't have speed like Thad, but his reactions would be uncannily fast. I also think he would be the sort who would disappear in a moments notice (sort of batman-eque) thanks to his awareness, but also his quick reactions that it would almost make him seem prescient, but no he's just always watching and aware.

Catching him unaware is difficult, but when you do that's when more of Thad's personality comes out of him and he gets flustered. He's prideful and likes having all the answers, but when he doesn't it just flusters and frustrates him.
