Made of Honor (2008) dir; Paul Weiland
Starring: Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan
If you enjoy and admire romantic-comedy films, this is the movie for you. A romantic comedy about the importance of wearing your heart of your sleeve. The importance of telling people about how you feel when you feel it. This film grabs the viewer by the heart and draws them in with its romantic wit, charm, inspiration and soul.
I do love myself a rom-com. I especially love one that through its dreamy yet notorious background â teaches life-long lessons at the same time. Living life to the fullest. Being brave especially when itâs tough to. Standing up for what you want, when you want it. Taking chances. Listening to your heart. This film showcased just a handful of these beautiful lessons.
Iâve watched so many rom-coms, but there was truly something about this one that spoke to me. It gave me the hope that I was searching for within myself. It reminded me that life is all about taking those risks. Because these risks are the ones that end up meaning the most later on. You only live once. That is it. One chance. If you love someone, please tell them. I know itâs not easy. But I think life is about living with no regrets. It could be the only shot to real happiness that we could ever get. So do it for yourself, for your future self. Tell that person how you feel. Before it too late. You donât want to grow old and be filled with âwhat ifâsâ. You want to grow old and be as proud as you can be that you went out there and had the courage. Donât be subjected to fear of the unknown. To the fear of rejection. Be subjected to the fear that you didnât live â but only existed.
So go on now, be your true and authentic self. You might be surprised where it leads you to.
Take care of yourself,
tizi
