When you think of a romantic date, you typically think of a dinner at a fancy restaurant. Or going to the movies together, playing games at a local carnival things like that. But you know what Madara Uchiha does for his partner? Hiking. That’s right, hiking. 

Madara and Kakashi had been dating for a good two years now, but not even Kakashi could figure out what that Uchiha was going to do next. He always gets bullied by one of his close friends Obito, who happens to be related to Madara. So of course their relationship was always interesting. 

This was a hike through the seven waterfall hike in Kawazu. They were joined Izuna and his girlfriend Shizune. The group had wanted to do some sight seeing before lunch. The Uchiha brothers often joked with how their relationships were similar in their own way while Kakashi and Shizune reminisced about their youth.

Kakashi and Madara finally find some time for themselves and go on a vacation. Kakashi didn't expect Madara not to be able to hold his alcohol at all.

“Don’t worry, sensei!

“The star was only a little bit surprised, you know. So anyway, the moon yelled 

“The star was a busy guy. He had lots of places to go. So he just laughed and said

“But luckily the moon remembered to do manners.

“So the star stayed. The moon still wasn’t as bright as the sun, but it was okay.

“So my star is right where he belongs. See?

“Yes, I see. You tell your parents that story when they come pick you up, okay?”

“Are you actually gonna do it today?” Izuna asked him in abored tone. “Or should we just go home now so you can wank off in your bedroomto your little fantasies again?”

“Shut up, Aniki!”Madara stuck his tongue out at his older brother. If he didn’t need the idiotto drive him home later he would have shoved him off the bench they weresitting on but unfortunately his own car was still in the shop.

“Well that wasn’t an answer to my question at all.”

Just to prove him wrong Madara launched himself off thebench instead and stormed across the patio to where the one he’d been staringat was sitting with a bunch of friends. Kakashi and his group gathered here withoutfail every day, enjoying a few beers at the end of their shift at the factoryjust up the street. The patio tables at this pub also happened to be whereMadara liked to sit at the end of a long day serving beer and nachos todrunkards who mistook his long hair to mean he was a woman and tried to honkhis nonexistent breasts. His brother had only started joining him a couple ofweeks ago after finally getting tired of listening to him waxing poetic about Kakashi,curiosity driving him to come take a look and then amusement bringing him backjust to watch his little sibling suffer.

If not for the frequent shift changes up at the factorythere would be absolutely no excuse for Madara to know Kakashi’s name but he’d beenon shift to serve them enough times not to feel like a crazy stalker as hewalked up and attempted to catch the man’s eye. He noticed one of the groupleaning over to whisper in another’s ear and his face nearly caught on fire as alight breeze drifted towards words to him.

“Look, it’s the kid that’s always panting over Bakashi.”

“Be nice, Obito,” the woman hissed.

Madara wanted to die but he kept his head up. He’d walkedall the way over here and they could all see he wasn’t wearing his work apron;might as well embarrass himself as thoroughly as possible.

“I was wondering if I might have a word?” he asked. Kakashi’sfriends all sniggered and blew wolf whistles but he waved them off. Togetherthey moved several tables over where neither of their companions could hearwhat they were saying.

“What’s up? Madara was it?”

“I- yes.” The fact that Kakashi not only knew his name butthought it was important enough to remember nearly made him squeal. “You, er,probably noticed that I’ve been waiting for a chance to talk to you for a whilenow.”

Neither of them mentioned the fact that he literally had achance every day while they were both here at the same establishment.

“You have my full attention,” Kakashi murmured, grinning athim. If Madara were in the habit of wearing panties they would have droppedstraight through the floor just for that expression alone. He’d always beenattracted to older men and Kakashi was a prime example of why.

“Would you maybe wanna go out sometime? For a- no, not for abeer, that’s stupid. For like coffee or something. Or whatever you want. Amovie maybe? Uh, okay hold on, just let me start over!”

Still smiling, Kakashi ducked in to shut him up with a kissthat sent both his friends and Izuna absolutely wild. “Maa, you’re very cutewhen you’re flustered.”

The Senju and the Uchiha are finally sitting down together to work out agreements for a peace between them, and Hashirama is delighting in the chance to renew his oldest, most precious friendship. Though he's left with a few questions about Madara's life, particularly when the peace talks begin and Uchiha aren't the only ones at his back.
