I think I brought this one home from the supermarket with me and accidentally put him in the fridge. He was on the bag of a vegetable I pulled out of the fridge later that day. After snapping a quick shot of him on the bag he made a run for it, and I tracked him down to an embarrassingly dusty corner, where you can see him cleaning himself of my shame. After doing some research I believe he is commonly called Shelford's Coackroach (Robshelfordia circumducta). This got me curious about who Shelford was and why he has his own cockroach. Cue Wikipedia. It turns out Robert Walter Campbell Shelford was quite the entomologist in the early 1900s, having discovered 44 new genera of cockroaches and 326 new species!
