I know we’re all thrilled that Jeff Bezos is being knocked down a (relatively small considering his wealth) peg but I genuinely don’t understand the sudden celebration of Mackenzie Bezos. She’s his (soon to be ex) wife. I’m pretty sure she helped found amazon? She doesn’t deserve to be that stupidly wealthy anymore than anyone else. What has she done to push jeff bezos into doing actual good with 137 billion? What makes anyone think that she’s going to use her 67 billion to do any good in the world instead of just sitting on it for the rest of her life? Like, if she turns out to be an actually decent person and does some good with that money I’ll celebrate too, but I’m not crossing my fingers for it

Full offence but Mackenzie Bezos is just as bad as her ex husband. She had all that money as well, could have done more and chose not to. Just because she divorced him doesn't make her exempt from being a shitty human being too.
