Though this expression is a US import, it is bottled at 43% abv, while the Australian bottles are 40% abv. That 3% makes a significant difference. The ginger and toffee profiles are punchier as is the #sherry influence. #MacallanMonday spent with a #AmitabhBachchan coffee table book. The #macallan12 Sherry cask has long been my go to #whisky. There is an excellent balance between ginger spice and toffee sweetness. If you prefer your whisky to have a stronger spice profile then you might want to try the #Macallan18 sherry cask - ginger notes are certainly stronger in that one. So is the price tag though!
