#MacallanMonday spent with a #AmitabhBachchan coffee table book. The #macallan12 Sherry cask has long been my go to #whisky. There is an excellent balance between ginger spice and toffee sweetness. If you prefer your whisky to have a stronger spice profile then you might want to try the #Macallan18 sherry cask - ginger notes are certainly stronger in that one. So is the price tag though! #macallanmonday spent with their 12yr old sherry cask. This bottle has been open for 6 months and boy does it open up nicely over time. A newly opened bottle lacks some of. That trademark #macallan ginger notes. Six months later this note is punchier as is the apricot sweetness. The only drawback on this offering is the 40% abv. American version hits harder with 43%.
