'Cynghanedd' is a unique system of poetic stress and sound-arrangement that originated in Welsh-language poetry around a thousand years ago. Despite it's ancient origins, it's still often used in contemporary Welsh poetry today.
Some small parts of the narration for Tales from the Mabinogion have been written in original Cynghanedd, by former Eisteddfod Crown winner Rhys Iorwerth. The audio clip here is taken from Pryederi's final speech in the game, as he reflects on his legacy and losses.
