âHere,â Kotetsu holds out two thin and short gift boxes. Neither are wrapped- he decided to save himself the embarrassment this year- and are instead presented in two piece dark gray cardboard boxes.
One tag is addressed to Raidou. Taking the top off reveals a handcrafted tanto with a cherry red design for the handle. The sheathe is the same color, painted with black outlines that mimic the pattern of wood. The blade inside is black to match his katana.
The one addressed to Genma has a custom made olive green leather pouch with reinforced walls. Inside are a couple dozen senbon, all black.
They each get a black kakute as well. Raidouâs has five smaller points while Genmaâs has three large ones.
Genma peers over Raidouâs shoulder and lights up. âSweet. Thank you, Kotetsu.â He takes the gifts with something like reverence. âWe were just heading over to find you.â He fishes around in his pockets, coming up with a larger green box and a smaller red one. âThe green one is Izumoâs, but I might hang on to it until I can give it to him myself. This is yours.â
In the red box is a palm sized compact of a dark bluish grey oil. âYou might want to be careful with it. But this is the result of the uh. Mold incident? The heavily refined version. You can apply it with a rag and itâll cause nasty contact burning and blistering and a good few hits will cause dizziness and fainting. Figured it might help make up the difference when a fight drags out. And, since you kinda helped make it, it seemed only fair you should get the finished product.â Genma shrugged. âRai, didnât you make something too?â
Right. He did.
Raidouâs ears color a little bit. He hadnât wanted to show off his work like this, easier to just leave the carvings with Genmaâs present.
He produces a palm sized, intricately carved vulture with signature ruffled feathers on the crown of its head. In itâs talons the familiar shape of Kotetsuâs half of his and Izumoâs twin blades rests in fabulously intricate detail, outstretched and ready to strike. â⌠Itâs not much. I could have done it better.â Raidou mutters, self conscious. Certainly not the same amount of effort put into Kotetsuâs presents for him. The tanto is beautiful.

No godmodding/infomodding. My characters are mine to write, thank you. If you have a question about what a muse could or couldn't know, ask. Don't assume. Same if you would like a character of mine to react a certain way for plot reasons. Ask. And we'll go from there.

About the mod:
Mod is not the muse and vise versa. My name is Ginger/Em, I am 20 years old and I've been on the RP scene for a while now, if not as long as some others. I am an adult with responsibilities and expect to be respected as such. Just because I am online does not mean I owe you my time. If it bothers you that I'm 18+ and not 21+, nobody is forcing you to interact with me, but I will not tolerate harassment over this.
I have a zero tolerance policy to bullying of any kind to me or my friends. If I see you also giving any of them shit, you will be blocked without warning. This is the only time I will do so.
Mod is dysgraphic and makes spelling errors! I try and catch them before posting, but some slip through. Non-English words in particular are hard for me, so you may see some inconsistencies if I am just not having it a particular day. (for example, 'earth release' instead of douton, 'substitution' over 'kawarimi,' etc.)
