MG is caring, kind and idealistic. MG tries his best to do the right thing, and wants to be seen as a good person by his friends. He also tries very hard to respect everyone around him and wants to be liked.

At his best, MG is a supportive and non-judgmental friend, as we see with his relationship with Lizzie. He starts to realise that everybody makes mistakes, and is not as harsh on himself as he usually is.

At his worst, MG can be really impulsive and does things that go against his own moral code. For example, when he has human blood he becomes a ripper and cannot control his urges. This leads to intense guilt, remorse and regret as he thinks he is a bad person. 

1s are usually very restrained and disciplined. We see this with MG as he has a very strong stance against drinking human blood. He doesn’t want to hurt anybody and instead chooses to drink animal blood. However, as he is always so controlled, when he does ‘let loose’ it is very hard for him to control his vampire tendencies. He becomes brutal and violent, he’s a lot like Stefan in that way.

His relationship with Lizzie shows some of his best and worst traits. He becomes very attached to her and wants her to see him as a romantic prospect. He tries to be supportive and helpful so she will see that he is the perfect partner for her. He frustrates her when he accuses her of being crazy and Sebastian being a figment of her imagination. He only does this as he feels compelled to tell her as it would be wrong to let her continue thinking otherwise.

MG has a wing 2 as he is very personable and outgoing to do be helpful and fair towards others. He is more willing to share advice and meddle than a wing 9 tends to be.

He had his own demons, but even when they chased him into the dark, he never stayed there. Instead, he danced like a sparkler, and smiled like the sun. He wrote a new story every day, and reminded me to always find the light.”
