Paul DiMarco-Haim

Paul's birthday is September 26th, making him a Libra. This means he likes things to be balanced, is sociable, and is an intellectual.

Like his mom, who's a chef, Paul enjoys cooking. His favorite thing to make is pancakes, which he makes for his family every Saturday morning.

He grew up speaking both Tartosan and Simlish. He has a slight Tartosan accent.

In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, working out, rock climbing, and hiking.

Having a good sense of humor is important to Paul. The first thing he noticed about his husband Johnny is how funny he was.

Some gameplay facts about Paul, just for fun (not canon):

He's been going through a midlife crisis (Desire to Create) for a while and wakes up "contemplating life" every morning.

He has the Health Food Nut, People Person, and Hungry for Love lifestyles.

Paul always wakes up early and visits the cafe in front of his house.

🔮 Crystal Ball: How far into the future of your story can you see? Do you plan everything in advance or take things step by step?

🤸‍♀️It depends!!! There are some characters who I've planned pretty far into the future, and those plans are somewhat specific- others I just have a vague idea of where I'm going. For instance with Sorella, I have an age in mind for when she'll become a parent but I have no solid plans for her in the interim!! I tend to plan my story in chunks. The first chunk was pre-James reveal. After the side quest the next chunk is from April-September of the current year we're in.

🦃 Turkey: What’s the most abundant burst of inspiration you’ve ever had? Were you able to translate that into writing?

thank you so much for thinking of me, @lynzishell, @shuckleberrysims, and @boredmoodlet! You guys are so sweet and I'm sorry I didn't answer this sooner! I've been adulting and trying to think of a good response! I think a good fact to know about me is that I love plants! I have a lot of houseplants and a small indoor greenhouse! (Which you guys might have guessed by my Tumblr username and Berry sim of the same name, Cactus Blossom! Here's a recent picture of my indoor greenhouse and the mess that is the bottom shelf. It was watering day. And the second picture is my first Christmas Cactus propagation that I cut off from the mother plant, put in water for a month, and finally planted a month ago. Look at the babies it's grown in that time! It was originally only three leaf segments!

Thanks for the ask! I was also sent this by @lynzishell so I'm going to do this for 2 Sims, Lucy and Matt from my DiMarco story.

Lucy Steel

Though she may look more straight-laced, Lucy actually has the mouth of a sailor at times. She enjoys a little crass humor when she's around people who don't mind it.

She's the "Mom friend" type who always checks in with her friends and makes sure they're taken care of. She's the one who'll drop what she's doing to help out a friend in need (and maybe give a little lecture).

Lucy is quite athletic and loves to hike and rock climb. I ended up scrapping part of Paul's arc where he, Lucy, and Danica climbed to the top of Mt. Komorebi but I still consider it cannon to the story.

Out of all of her brothers, she's closest to Paul and Matt. She had a hard time relating to her youngest brothers due to the age gap (for real in the game, she and the younger boys were friends but held festering grudges against each other most of the time, even after she moved out).

Lucy is very sociable. She was one of the few who actually loved doing group projects in school because she likes to delegate and collaborate with other people, and she was good at it.

Matt DiMarco

Unlike his older sister, Matt doesn't like to be crude. He doesn't really curse or like to gossip.

He is the middle child among the 5 DiMarco children and he's the one who gets along with all of his siblings the best. He's closer in age to Lucy and Paul than he is to Anthony and Daniel, but he liked to play with his younger brothers when they were growing up and was proud of his big brother role.

Matt's wife Kaylynn is the only person he's ever been with romantically and sexually, and he's okay with that. He's known she was the one as soon as they met, and he doesn't feel like he's missing out on anything.

He wants to have a big family like the one he grew up in. Of course it depends on what Kaylynn wants as well, but he would be happy with a house full of kids.

Matt is usually a pretty happy guy. He doesn't get angry often (unless someone is being cruel to someone else) and he's usually able to look on the bright side of things.
