#lying reality

reposting this bc i am getting close to being done with like... the 7th draft of this thing!!! my goal for camp nano is to finish this draft and start on editing. This book has been my baby since i was 15, though it’s a completely different story now. I love the world, the characters, the story so much. Hopefully I can start querying this year. :) 

it’s reassuring though. if i’m my harshest critic, and I’m enjoying my own writing when i read through things, then other people will as well. And that makes the idea of sharing it, of publishing it, so much less scary.

so Ana’s mom is a scientist who works at a facility that experiments on fae, right? i have known this fact for years. well, Ana informed me that her mom tested on her as well, and that actually, she’s not half-human/half-mer, she’s a mutant who’s half-mer who has had banshee and water elemental dna injected in her resulting in a genetic mutation. so really, she used to be part-human, but not for years and years lol. ok gurl. such a traumatic backstory, you would never guess from how upbeat she is.
