A big topic to consider. We started this discussion on our igtv, specifically about using the judgment statement "good job". "Good job" has become an empty statement, because we overuse it. It is also a judgment statement where children are just looking for the judgmental praise instead of the observational positive statement. Instead of our children doing something for the inevitable "good job", don't we want them to do it for themselves and feel that empowerment? Instead of "good job" try "you did it!" We hope you will check out what we had to say on our IGTV and perhaps start practicing the art of positive affirmations. It's such a beautiful way to guide your child along their journey growing up. More empowerment, less judgement.
