Brook doesn’t know how they’ve survived this long without him.
A doctor, he thinks, is the most important part of any crew and yet this crew has managed to make it all the way out here without one. He’s almost convinced that they don’t need one at all, as he watches them fight their way through Thriller Bark, not stopping once, even as the odds become more and more impossible. Their wounds don’t seem to slow them down at all, and Brook half thinks that they’ll just disappear when they’re done, like a grand reward for all they’ve done.
They’re incredibly lucky, he thinks, as Sanji drags in a bloodied barely conscious Zoro, that one of them almost dies only after he shows up.
“Yohohoho!” He laughs as he bends over to consider the man sagging in Sanji’s arms, ignoring the shouting from the rest of the crew behind him. “Oh dear! It seems like you’re in quite a state, Sir Swordsman!”
“Hey! This is no laughing matter!” Sanji growls, teeth clenched almost painfully around his cigarette. “He’s dying! Dammit, we need a doctor!”
"Well then, you’re in luck, Sir Cook!" Brook says, as he gently takes Zoro from him. Sanji hesitates but then relinquishes his hold. “Your friend is in good hands. I will do my best to patch him up!”
