How I feel about the Soy Luna revival:
They’re retconning all of season 3 when we only wanted them to retcon the gastina break-up
everyone involved in soy luna really was like: well despite everything, we managed to make a successful show that actually left most people satisfied in the end, and even 8 years after it ended people still love it and remember it fondly! well GUESS WHAT. WE CAN'T HAVE THAT. we're gonna make a terrible new season, it will look like c*ap, like the worst AI you can think of and of course it will not have the popular ships that were endgame in our og show, we will instead pair the ship no one ships and only give crumbs to our former main couple (if even), amazing, everyone will hate us and never want anything to do with us again GENIUUUUUSSSS
By now my brain just accepted SL4 as non-canon

Officially, I can confirm that on Wednesday, July 1st, the first chapter of ‘Soy Luna 4: The Return’ will be available on AO3. My version of how Soy Luna 4 should have been.
I should warn you that it won’t have more than 20 or 25 chapters, but each one will have over 5,000 words. The first chapter will take you almost an hour to read, since it’s close to 10,000 words.
It’s one of the most complex novels I’ve ever written in my life. That’s also why I took this distance from AO3. I had never handled 30 characters in my universes before, and believe me, it’s a real challenge to give all of them a storyline. But I’m managing it well.
I already have 10 drafts totaling 78,000 words, which I’ll later divide into chapters and, of course, edit. Writing in Spanish and English is quite a challenge, and I apologize if sometimes a translation isn’t 100% accurate. Remember that I translate based on how I understand English, without a spell‑checker.
So that’s it, we’ll meet again very soon on AO3 to keep writing and sharing stories about this beautiful world.

Honestly, I would've been completely fine/happy if all they changed was that Lola makes Simon realize how much he misses Ámbar, and Luna thinking of Matteo instead of Simón in the interview and catching up to him at the airport or smth.
Bc while I do think the reasons they broke up sucked and didn't make much sense, it helped with the tension between Matteo and Luna, and I liked the overall storyline otherwise, so I would've easily accepted it. Like it really isn't hard to make me happy, but they still failed😭
If they really wanted to deliver the "you don't always end up with the love of your life" tragic message with Lutteo, Luna should've ended up single at the end of the season. And then they could leave that open ending that would make you question if Luna meets Matteo again and they get back together or if Luna moves on with her life and meets someone else or really ends up single.
Now... Making her go back to Simón again when that story was 100% solved and closed makes absolutely no sense and doesn't bring any message of hope or something like that. It's just bad writing and makes most fans not only sad but, most of all, absolutely mad. They need to stop with the "this whole crew made a huge effort to deliver this new season" bs when not bringing Lumon back takes 0 effort. They could have written any other ending.
