So everyoneās been sleeping on the fact that Launchpad is like some kind of mechanical genius?? In the premiere he piloted the submarine with no problem, depite having no prior experience whatsoever, and didnāt crash once.
And now in the Terra-firmian episode he got this old subway carās electronics back online without fanfare, like?? Iām here for secret genius Launchpad, Ć la Andy from Parks and Rec

Yeah, oh my goodness, I actually do!Ā
Iām pretty terrible with creating a big quantity of headcanons, but Iāve been thinking about this Launchpad one for a while.Ā
This headcanon ties into my headcanon for Mrs. Beakley, who I believe used to work with S.H.U.S.H., the secret spy agency from Darkwing Duck. This is partly because someone pointed out to Frank Angones that Beakleyās clothing colors are similar to that of Darkwing, and Frank indicated that there was some meaning behind that.Ā
Anyway, as Scroogeās reasons for hiring Launchpad as his chauffeur are as of yet unknown, especially since he never knew Launchpad was a pilot, my idea is that Beakley recommended him to Scrooge because they both used to work for S.H.U.S.H. In the original Ducktales episodeĀ āDouble-o-Duckā Launchpad does become a spy and help fight F.O.W.L., the evil spy organization as also seen in Darkwing Duck. Now the 2017 Ducktales will feature an episode with a similar plot, lending some credence to Launchpad being a former secret agent.Ā
