The events of their last hangout session repeated in his mind daily. He could remember the way they fell asleep against one another, to his almost confession of his feelings the following morning. How he managed to hold out this long was a complete mystery to him. To him Kyleigh was as close to perfect as any woman could get. She was beautiful, had a personality to match. Not to mention the fact she kept him on his toes with her witty comebacks. Everything with her felt pressure free, almost as if the two had known one another their whole lives. Normally Stephon wasn’t the type of guy to let his nerves get the better of him, but that whole morning his nerves were shot. All he could think about was the possibility of something going wrong, better yet. Kyleigh not being into him as much as he was into her. Would they be able to stay friends if that was the case? Or would he have just ruined the best thing that happened to him in a while. He felt more pressure about this evening going well, then any match he had participated in during the Ow.en Hart Tournament.
Clad in a pair of jeans and a Knicks shirt. He took a deep breath in as he stood outside her hotel room. He had insisted on getting a room for her just in case things didn’t go as planned for them. “There you are.” He said once she came to the door. “I was thinking I was about to have to hit the game up by myself. It wouldn’t be a good look if I sat ringside alone” he teased, flashing the younger woman a toothy grin as he took a moment to admire what she had on. “You look…good.”
