well!! as expected i have to use this wonderful opportunity to talk about twain!!
anyone who has ever spoken to me will know this but my very favorite muse and character in the world is my replacement oc for mark twain in bungou stray dogs who i eventually made fandomless. he is literally THE guy of all time. i've written him since 2018 so it's been over 5 and a half years since he first entered my consciousness.
needless to say i think he is the best. he's a cool vagabond-type who works for an extraplanar archivist (who you can find on this blog!) in exchange for his continued survival. he has the power to bring book characters and creatures to life, except it's more complicated than that. he's a real good time boy who likes having fun so he doesn't have to think about all the terrible things happening all the time in his life.
in theory i could say literally a million things about him but i already talk enough about him as it is so i will mercifully cut my response here. but he's on @antisatiric . just so everyone is aware.

"Uwah?!" Minori can't help but let out that kind of shriek of surprise when she's grabbed so suddenly, "Uwauwauwauwa~!!" being let out in that way when someone slams their hands on your back really fast, except it's the perpetual motion of Emu's jumping doing all the work. Minori's laughter soon mixes into the jumpy audio when she finally realizes who exactly is hugging her with such hyper energy - She - She was so strong! When are all the girls with pink hair so strong?! - but Minori still starts to get dizzy and tiny swirls form in her eyes. "E-E-Emuuuuuu~ Hiiiii~" is all she can really let out, hugging back like her life depended on it, but still enjoying the theme park ride that was Emu's super happy fun greeting.

Retracting her hand, holding it to her chest, but...Not taking a step back. The fear and surprise that laced her face for the briefest of moments fades into her previous seriousness. Diantha even takes a step towards Fenrir - even if her arms are now stiff and unmoving - taking a deep breath and continuing.
"I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. But you have feelings too. Even if you don't want to talk about them...I saw how upset you were, and wanted to make sure you were okay. That's all." Her delivery is a little stiff, as is her whole body, but Diantha was nothing if not a genuine girl. It took ever ounce of strength in her to not cower away from all of Fenrir's hostility and bite, but she stood strong by choice. Not even in the sense that she liked Fenrir that much, but in the sense that...She knew hurt when she saw it. And they were working together, in the end, no longer true "enemies", so the hostility on Diantha's side had melted more into an...understanding worry. She's stupid for feeling that, she knows that. And she knew she would get such a reaction from such a hostile primal. But, even then...
"I just wanted you to know that I'm here if you needed somebody." That was all she could really offer her, but she was glad to do it.

There was anger, although brief. Here was his youngest sibling out causing trouble with her little gaggle of friends. Oh how they annoyed him greatly since that first meeting though most landed on tsukasa. Loud mouth. But then there was a slight click in Shousuke's mind. . . this could be useful if he played stupid and vanished for a little while. He chuckled. What an odd and somewhat terrifying change.
" alright Emu-chan, a deal. I will not stop you and your little plan on ONE condition. It is done perfectly so it works well for the park. Since our other brother would agree, prove yourselves and I'll talk to father about it. Given you do not tell me what that purple haired boy is planning I won't do a single thing. Understood?"

She's not here", a tilt of her head and hands on her hips as her gaze wanders. "Ah! Toya! Are you also looking for Nene?" and just like that the smile is back on her face, completely disregarding that this was his classroom too. ( unprompted. / always accepting. )
toya startles just enough to blink in surprise as the door to the classroom is all but slammed open, the cheerful yell, bright pink hair, and out - of - place uniform all immediately indicative of one otori emu. ( he thinks it’s sweet that she does this — visiting her troupemates since she’s the only one attending a different school — but it really is a wonder she hasn’t gotten in trouble for it yet.
then again, kamiyama high tends to be a bit more lax on rule enforcement. if the students’ freedom with their uniforms, tsukasa and rui’s semi - usual disruptions, and an’s half - hearted attempts to be an effective member of the disciplinary committee are indicative of anything, it’s certainly that. )
