Tbh I think they’d be so cute together. I can just see Mattheo just staring at her smiling as she rambles on about a random magical creature he’s never heard of. And Luna has never been one to care about reputations so to her Mattheo is just a sweet boy who’s just hot headed at times.
i don’t really care about any hp ships besides mattheodore, but i can kinda see mattheo x luna. though i do see them as platonic more than anything, but the platonic bond would be pretty strong, although quiet. i feel like it would start on a random night at the astronomy tower, with mattheo brooding and smoking, as usual, and luna telling him random legends about stars. mattheo would find comfort in her presence, since she doesn’t pry about reasons for his horrible mood – she just exists and helps him fill the suffocating silence dangerous for his ever-racing mind. i don’t see them hanging out in the open, like normal friends would do, but i can definitely see a lot of random encounters where they just are in each other’s presence, and that’s enough for both.
