Jabba’s Slave Empire Conquest!
I have yet to do any real analysis of how much sense it makes, but I really would like to believe that Lumiya and the One Sith were just bullshitting about Vergere.

Legacy of the Force rewrite concept: Darth Caedus is not Jacen Solo, but a new character with a surprising connection to Luke Skywalker and Shira Brie/Lumiya
The premise behind this concept is that rather than character-assassinating Jacen Solo, we see the introduction of Caedus as a new character working as Lumiya’s apprentice as she attempts to create a new dark side order to replace the Sith (assume Dark Nest didn’t happen or at the very least went down differently) and undermine the Galactic Alliance in the aftermath of the Yuuzhan Vong War. As the series goes on, it’s eventually revealed that Caedus (who’s a few years older than the Solo twins) is Lumiya’s son, and has a surprising interest in/connection to Ben Skywalker, though nobody knows why. This leads to a second revelation later in the series, however, where Caedus is revealed to be the biological son of Lumiya… and Luke Skywalker. Turns out that Caedus is actually a byproduct of the brief relationship Luke and Shira had back before she was revealed to be an Imperial agent (you’d probably need to retcon the details from the original comics, but let’s face it - those comics barely fit into the established EU canon as it stands), with Lumiya having raised Caedus in secret and cultivated her son’s natural talent in the Force in the hopes that he’d one day become the instrument of her vengeance against Luke (since he’s continuing Darth Vader’s legacy) and destruction of the Galactic Alliance. Honestly, if they’d gone through with this, I can’t help but wonder how Mara, Ben and especially Luke himself would take this revelation, especially after Lumiya dies and Caedus becomes the main antagonist for the rest of the series…
How do you imagine/want this scenario playing out? Would this have worked out better than turning the Living Jedi Dream into a Sith Lord for shock value? Share your thoughts!
