Tbh the idea of slug energy being just an essence in everything. From the smallest thing to the biggest. Literally in everything and everyone. Be aware of me trying to explain it.

But not like... A purest form. A purest form would be wrapped around like the center of Luminaria, holding from erupting the dark matter. Which dark matter also wouldn't be it. It isn't just a dark water that turns everything into ghouls and stuff like this.

Dark water is still slug energy. Not a corrupted thing but suppressed so much it just gives too much energy. This too much energy gives different kind of form, wicked one. This is why it's dangerous. Not because it's evil, but because it's just too much even for itself.

This energy goes through the pure one, and when both of them hit, it just make the compressed slug energy untangled.

And with that, we have normal slug energy. It isn't pure, it isn't dark. It's balanced and still powerful.

This energy keeps everything alive and also affects everyone. And by that, I mean some would be born with additional things. Like another set of arms, more eyes, horns, tails. Depends on the resident, really. And also which element would be more favorable towards them, and it's called domain. In every race, there are some dominating domains. For example, most trolls are favorable by earth slugs and the sub of it (plant, metal), but still, as an example, some trolls can be born with water domain. It mostly affects which kind of slugs would be more drawn to the person.

Slug energy is also somewhat "alive". It can sense a great danger, and when it's needed, it can use the overflow energy from the core/center and teleport the whole planet to safety.

Safety is just being a time, as each time the planet teleports itself, it will always be around two blue suns. I don't have exactly lore explonation for this, at least not yet.

Slug energy is still mysterious to most in slugterra, as it's hard to really put it under a microscope. The best way to study slug energy is to observe slugs and how they react.

Anyway. Adding to this whole teleporting thing. Each teleport also restarts resources on the whole planet, without affecting the living and what they created. The whole thing was discovered some time ago, and each teleport is cataloged as 'era' and how many years it took and also what happened in that time period. In my mind, there is now forth era, and more than a thousand years passed after last teleport.
