What would you do if your club friend and sister started acting all friendly each other for some reason?
Do you lovely readers remember back in the It's My Party! Chapter when Linka was chatting with those other boys while waiting for Ronald? Well,let's just say that there is gonna be a LOT of misunderstandings...
On Monday evening In the music club with Luke
Luke:aw dang! Forgot I let my sister borrow my music sheet...
Sam:I didn't know you have a sister! I've only ever seen you with your brothers.
Luke:that's cause she's always out with her little friends.
Then they suddenly hear knocking on the club's door.
Tab:[in his British accent]I'll get it,mates.
Luke:[in his British accent] thanks,bud.
When Tab opened the door,he was stunned to see the nice girl from the school dance standing right in front of him.
Linka:hey I remember you! Your Tab right? From the dance?
Linka:I didn't know you're in the same club as my brother,that's so cool!
Luke:[looking confused] hey lil sis,do you 2 know each other?
Linka:yeah,we met at the school dance the other night. Oh,and here are those papers you needed.
Linka:hey,we're in the same grade,right?
Linka:awesome! See you tomorrow at school! Bye Luke! [she walks away]
When Linka got home,she rushed to her room to make a phone call.
Linka:[on the phone] hey girl! You'll never guess who I ran into at my brother's music club...yep! Him! The one in your music class!...don't worry,I have a plan! ...c'mon,trust me! Y'know I'm really good at matchmaking! ...yep! ....I bet you $20 that I can get you 2 on a date by the end of the month....alright,then it's settled!....yeah! Ok then,see you tomorrow Leah~! [she hangs up] [Leah = girl Liam]
Linka was sitting with her friends at the their usual lunch table,when she noticed her friend Zara looked a bit down. [Zara = girl Zack]
Claudia:something the matter,Zara?
Zara:[sighs]...there's this boy in my class that is SUPER funny,but I can't get him to notice me...
Zara:he goes by his clown name,Giggles.
Linka:(hold on,I think I remember that name) here,I'll tell you what,[she whispers in Zara's ear] if I can get you to notice him by the end of the month,you own me $20.
Linka was watching TV in the living room,when Lane rushed down from the stairs in his Mime costume.
Lane:[in a rush] hey Linka,I know this is last minute buy uh,could you help me out? I accidentally overbooked 2 birthday parties at the same time and my assistant needs another clown for the first party and-
Linka:yes Lane,I'll help you!
Lane:thanks so much,sis! [hands her the costume] I'll be right with you guys when I'm finished!
After sending her the address,Lane ran out of the house and went to his work. As got ready and ran out the house too,she started thinking of a plan.
Linka:[running while thinking] (if I remember correctly,Lane and Giggles go to the same clown school. So if I'm lucky,maybe giggles will be the assistant I am going to meet!)
After Linka made it to the house on time,she met up with Lane's assistant who was in fact,Giggles.
Giggles:hey...don't I know you from somewhere?
Linka:mhm! We met at the school dance the other night!
Giggles:oh that's right! Your the sister Lane talks about so much!
Linka:yep! That's me! (Aww! Lane talks about me!)
Giggles:so do you know anything about clowning?
Linka:oh please,I live with 10! I think I know a thing or 2. [she said smugly]
Linka and Giggles ended up preforming very well without Lane's help.
Giggles:man,you're like a natural!
Linka:told ya I know a thing or two!
Lane:[out of breath from running] hey guys,sorry I'm late!
Linka:no worries,bro! We're already done!
Giggles:Lane! Your sister should become a professional clown! She was a natural!
Linka:aww c'mon,you don't have to flatter me so much! If it wasn't for Lane,I wouldn't have been as good as I am!
Watching his sister and his BOY assistant getting along so well,started making Lane's eye twitch.
Lane:[dragging Linka by the arm] well I'm glad that the party went well,but we have to go home for dinner so bye Giggles!
Giggles:bye Lane! Bye Linka! See you at school tomorrow!
Linka:bye giggles! Lane let go of me! I can walk by myself y'know...
We see Linka writing in a journal while sitting on the swings. Writing on her plans on how she's gonna help her friends get with the boys they want,when suddenly her friend Ruth approaches her in a rush. [Ruth = girl Rusty]
Ruth:Linka! I need your help!
Linka:what's the matter Ruth?
Ruth:[pulls out a picture of a familiar looking boy] do you know him?
Linka:...I think I do? (That's Lynn's roller derby buddy!)
Ruth:can you help me set up a date with him? We're in the same P. E. Class!
Linka:I can do that......for $20! Give me t'ill the end of the month!
After Ruth leaves in a better mood,Linka gets a text from Lynn.
Lynn:hey,forgot my roller skates at home. Can you get them for me after school and bring them to me.
Linka:what do I get in return?
Lynn:I'll get you a slushy when I get back.
Linka has a smug expression on her face.
Linka:(fufu! My brothers make this TOO easy. I'll be RICH by the end of this month!)
When Linka made it home and grabbed Lynn's skates,she quickly ran as fast a she can to where Lynn's roller derby practice was.
Linka:hmm? Where is he at?
Linka noticed the boy from Ruth's picture was walking over to her.
Linka:oh yeah! I remember you too! You...threw me onto where the lights were...
Peter:yeah sorry about that. But you're the only person who hasn't thrown up when I spin them!
Linka:[extending her hand] I'm Linka,Lynn's sister.
Peter:[shaking her hand] I'm Peter. Lynn has mentioned you a lot.
Linka:oh? What does he say-?
Lynn:...what are you 2 doing?
Lynn was watching his sister and teammate still shaking each other's hand. (Though in HIS perspective,it looked liked the where holding hands)
Linka:hey Lynn,I came to give you these. [hands him his roller skates]
Linka:(why is he glaring at Peter?) well I gotta go. Bye Peter,see you at school!
Thursday at Claudia's house
Claudia:man,I just wish there was someone I could share my struggles with!
Linka:didn't know liking your best friend's brother who's taken and older than you is a struggle...
Claudia:that's because you don't get it! You'll never understand the pain of being in love with someone who you can't have just because age is in the way...
Linka:and frankly,I don't think I ever will...[looks at the phone for the time] well...I gotta go,I'll see you tomorrow bestie!
Linka:hey Lars,what's up?
Lars:I have a friend over here who's gonna watch a movie with me. Can you make us popcorn the way I like it?
After Linka made the popcorn,she went up into Lars and Lynn's room (Lynn was at a sleepover) and noticed a familiar looking boy sitting next to him.
Haiku:at the school dance.
Linka:yeah,he read me a nice poem.
Linka:well I'll leave you 2 alone,hope you like the movie!
Linka retreats to her room and plops on her bed.
Luke:(no way my lil sis is actually FRIENDS with that PUNK...I must be imagining it.)
Lane:(Linka and Giggles...no way! I must be going crazy...)
Lynn:(I KNOW that there is something going on there! The way that JERK was grabbing my sister for too long....)
Lars:(is there something going on that I'm too blind to see?)
Linka:(hmm...this is gonna be a tough month,but...as long as I'm getting paid it should be fine.)
