It's time to sum up the year. Like the past few years, the main 'achievement' is to stay alive. The war is embedded in my brain, devouring me from the inside, never loosening its grip. Merry celebrations, cheerful greetings became just an echo of the past life. An alien one. A life that russia and russians continue to take away from Ukraine on a daily basis.

I'm looking for the sign of goodness, light, quiet joy in every little thing. I'm hungry for cosiness and hope for something good. The happiest moment of the month is the news that some Ukrainians have returned from captivity.

Nothing changes. But with the sounds of the upcoming air alert, I am preparing to welcome the year 2025. As always, in the hallway with a phone. And although the whole world is slowly starting to be friends with russia again, russia is trying to 'liberate' Odesa, Ukraine, and all of us. To liberate us from life, love, peace and tranquillity.

I'll try not to let hopelessness and despair take over me. After all, I know how many marvellous things there are in this world, and how amazingly beautiful people can be. For the sake of that, it's worth keeping my candle burning. And if it goes out, I'll have to light a lantern :)
