Guys, Lucus is so canon.
This montage for me made them so canon. Like, one could argue, is continuing the theme of inspiration. But Marcus is going through something really serious here. His father wasn't even at his mom's funeral. Did he just leave them? Was he present in any way during Angela's illness? I think we have to assume he wasn't.
And throughout this sequence, the cut to Luca cooking implies that's what Marcus is thinking about —or what he yearns for. I think Luca is an inspiration to Marcus the way Sydney is to Carmen. Remember, Marcus asked Sydney for inspiration, and she sent him to Copenhagen. Later in the episode, Marcues does reach out to his father to tell him about the award. It's not shown who he is sending it to, but I think it's safe to assume it was his father.
Anyhow, they are so canon and so in love, I can't.
