WANTED CONNECTIONS.

➥ clientele: people who buy cannabis from him, he will gladly talk your ear off about the medicinal benefits and hang out to smoke with you. also sells to others to distribute if that’s their thing. ➥ toxic ex: dated at some point after they arrived in devil’s elbow (10+ years ago) and it went well for awhile, they tried to change him or were using him or both, there was a lot of jealousy and clashing. now when they’re around each other he’s trying to hide or they’re fighting or they end up sleeping together, sometimes all three. ➥ listening in: regular fans of the show he hosts with his best friend/bro topher. they are on five nights a week and maybe you want to talk about a subject they were discussing or music they were playing, or just give props for a funny show. maybe you hate them and want to vent about it.

lucky came into the world as landon williams, born in southeast new york before the remnants of new york city finally sunk into the earth for good. they moved more inland to a settlement built there, further away from the water but still close enough so that his mother could continue to work as a nurse. his father was never in the picture, he wasn’t sure why and he never took the time to ask his mom about it. maybe it was because his mom was always more than enough to fill the role of two parents. she was fiercely protective over him, but even she couldn’t keep him contained despite the many reasons she had to do so. 

from the start doctors made a point to tell his mother how lucky he was to survive. this was the start to him being known as lucky which became a foreshadowing for most of his childhood and adolescence. there were countless times he had close calls with broken bones from daredevil acts, surfing in radiated waters or during storms, a particularly bad dirt bike accident, skateboarding, allergic reactions, asthma, and several bad falls from high up places he had no business climbing up to in the first place. he was constantly on the move, often doing extreme things to impress others or get a laugh. really it helped get out all the anxious energy always building up in him.

he was ten when the tsunami hit the newly established town and lucky can’t tell you much about it, though he still remembers the frantic call from his mother to get to high ground. that was the last time he spoke to her, he was able to save a couple of photos of the two of them but besides that he never saw her again. without any other family to be heard of, lucky was put in the system and moved up north near lake ontario where he was placed in a home with a decent enough family who would make sure he stayed alive until he became an adult at the very least and it was there he would meet his best friend, brother for life: topher haas. 

topher and lucky were inseparable from then on. they just seemed to get each other in ways no one else understood. especially later on in his life when on top of his physical health issues ( crohn's disease, asthma, multiple allergies ), he was also told of some of the mental issues he had ( bpd, ptsd, dyslexia, add ). once again it was lucky that he was able to function at all but even further, he considered himself extremely lucky he had someone who accepted him just as he was and together they worked to better their lives and make the conditions they have manageable. they also discovered a shared passion and that was the love of all things cannabis. when they were old enough to go out in the world, toph and lucky packed up his van and set out to explore with no real direction but to live their lives.

it was just another lucky moment they ended up breaking down outside of burnington. sometimes things just happen that way and by the time the van was fixed again they’d already started to settle, finding reasons around every corner to stay. like the need for cannabis and their ability to build a greenhouse to grow a hefty supply if they worked together. also the happenstance of landing a gig with wder, in which they got to do the shit they already did hanging out since they were teenagers. bantering, listening to music, friendly debates, and be all around goofballs. when lucky found a land rover that looked like the one his mom had when he was younger, he knew it was meant to be. they settled out in devil’s elbow and worked on their operation and have been there ever since.

headcanons:

has built the land rover up over the years so it now has a pop out camper area on top, a small kitchen area, running water with filter, electricity, and even an attachment to shower all run off natural energy sources.

he doesn’t drive his land rover out very often just because it’s bulky and he would have to pack it up each time. so he has a dirt bike that he’ll ride into and around time more often than not

has a tattoo of his mother’s face among the large assortment of work he has scattered around his body. 

does yoga with topher almost every morning to start the day ( besides a wake and bake ) because it helps with his breathing and some of his stomach issues
