So, after 2 months since Who Made Me a Princess season 1 of the donghua ended (and after talking to a reylo whom I managed to convince to watch the first season of the donghua) I decided to compile the similarities between the two pairs/ships. Spoiler warning for the people who haven't watched the first season of the donghua or read the webtoon/novel of WMMAP (Who Made Me a Princess). So before I will dig deeper into similarities I will explain some terms so that people will not get confused: LP= Lovely Princess (it's the name of the book where the main female protagonist get isekai-ed into in the body of the main female character named Athanasia...there are differences between the media versions about the isekai factor..differences that I hope I will touch in this post), Lucathy cames from Lucas + Athanasia (or Athy which is her nickname) and donghua (that's how animated version of something it's called if it's produced by a chinese company). With this being said let's begin: The blue butterfly motiff: So remember the blue butterflies from the Star Wars Roll Out episode where Ben Solo release blue butterflies and since then this became his symbol (and also the reylo symbol)? Well, in the webtoon and the donghua of WMMAP the blue butterfly it's a constant when there are scenes with Athanasia (in the webtoon she is dressed in clothes with blue butterflies...in the donghua blue butterflies appear in key moments from Athanasia's life. So the blue butterfly it's both Ben's and Athanasia's symbol; The evil ancestor: in the SW sequel trilogy it's Palpatine, who is Rey's grandfather and in webtoon version (and most probably in season 2 of the donghua) is Athanasia's great-great-grandfather Aeternitas (or how I'm used to call him Aeterfool) who it's a dark spirit that jumps from one body to another possessing those bodies. in both TROS and the webtoon version of WMMAP the evil ancestor wanted to possess the body of their powerful descendant; The place of the first meeting: both Kylo Ben/Rey and Lucas/Athanasia meet each for the first time in a forest. Kylo Ben and Rey met each other in the forest on the planet Takodana, while Lucas and Athanasia met each other in the forest near the royal palace (in the webtoon and novel Lucas was sleeping there and Athanasia was the one to wake him up after his long slumber while in the donghua she encountered him by mistake while he was looking for the person who change the fate...who was Athanasia); The fight: when Rey first met Kylo Ren in the forest there ws a fight between them, which was quickly ended by Kylo. When Athanasia first met Lucas in the webtoon and novel version (in the donghua the fight took place during their second meeting) there is a fight between the two of them. The family heirloom: in the TFA and TLJ was the lightsaber of Anakin Skywalker, which Kylo tries to call it with the Force in TFA but flew into Rey's hands. In WMMAP, Athanasia receive an ancient magical book from her father, the emperor, with the author erased. Well, when she start to chant a certain spell from that book, the book get surrounded by a blue aura and flies directly into Lucas' hand (further proof that it was his book is the fact that he knew exactly what spell Athanasia was about to chant and the fact that he is telling her to not became entangled with his magic); The awakening: when Kylo tries to probe Rey's mind for the map, he actually awakens her force sensitivity. When Athanasia chant to the end the spell from Lucas' book (in the donghua) and after running way from Lucas in the novel/webtoon she is able to awoke her magical powers. Royalty/nobility: both pairs were related to royalty/nobility: Kylo Ben's maternal grandparents (adopted and his maternal grandmother) and mother were royals (and in expanded universe Han Solo was also hinted to be of royal descend) while Rey's grandfather was an emperor. In Lucathy's case, Athanasia was the only child of the emperor of Obelia, while the novel version of Lucas was hinted/implied to have been born into a noble family.
