When the Life God met the Death God, he couldn’t help but blink a few times, before saying, unable to hold his words back, “What the fuck are you wearing?” 

The Death God looked at his clothes, then looked at the other with a raised brow and shrugged. “I don’t know what you mean. It’s what I always wear.” 

The Life God couldn’t believe this. What Death God doesn’t look intimidating! “Are you a Death God or what? Why are you wearing white with blue and gold?! That’s not the least bit intimidating!” 

“Heh, I didn’t know I had to look scary when I took the job.” 

The Life God huffed. “Uh, duh. It’s practically mandatory.”

The other skeleton shrugged again, “Didn’t see a manual anywhere. Must’ve missed it.”

The Life God’s brow twitched. “Fuck that. You need to change your clothes.” 

“Uh, can I get a name first? I’m kind of shy.”

The skeleton rolled his eyes, but the corners of his mouth twitched. He ended up smiling in the end. “I’m Red. God of Life.”

“Heh. Name’s Sans. God of Death.” 

“Uh huh. You will be when I’m done helping you change that outfit. You’re supposed to be menacing... not beautiful.” Red muttered the last bit, making Sans chuckle, having heard it still. 

“Well, I think you’re pretty cute.” Red’s face flushed. “So this is a date then huh.” And the other’s face flushed even deeper.

But, what’s this?

Sans’ grin widened. “I don’t hear a no.”

“Hmph! Let’s just go.” 

It took a while for Red to decide, but when he finally did, Sans had to sweat drop. 

It was rather tight for his liking. Having been used to loose and relaxing clothes, this was a pretty ... new experience. 

Red: Hmm, it’s not as intimidating as I thought. Even though the colours are red and black.

Sans: Is the eye patch necessary? Am I pretending to be the Sea Goddess Undyne? 

Red: Ugh. Shut up. -He clicked his tongue before taking out his phone to call his brother. Fell was always one for dramatic flairs after all. 

Red considered his attempt a failure, but he was determined to make Sans look like the absolute badass of a Death God he could be.

Seeing that Red has another idea, Sans couldn’t help but sigh and smiled exasperatedly. Well, at least it was interesting. 

Sans has got to say that Fell definitely knew how to instruct and pick clothes to actually make him look menacing. Points to him, he’d say. 

Red circled him twice, then nodded in appreciation. 

He was proud when he praised his brother’s skills, and triumphantly said, “Now that’s a Death God! Gotta hand it to bro having taste for these kinds of things.” 

Sans: ... I can’t see.

Red: You’ll get used to it! Don’t take off your hood!

Sans: It’s hard to move. Kind of heavy.

Red: ... You’ll get used to it ... Eventually?

Sans: ....

Red: ..... B-But it looks cool and good on you!

Sans: ......Red--

Red: Okay! Fine! Be beautiful then!

Sans: *chuckles* I appreciate the effort, sweetie. 

Red: Hmph .... W-Whatever. 

Sans looked to Red, and commented, “You know, you should show everyone what you look like with your usual clothes.”

“This is my usual clothes.” 

“Pfft. No it’s not. I meant the clothes you need to wear to meetings and actual work.”

“How ‘bout no.”

“Ooo~” Sans clapped, appreciating the plant art. “10/10 for sass.” 

Red chuckled. “Thanks.”

“No problem ... But I really can’t see it?”

The skeleton huffed as he frowned; putting the plant into a pot. It was still a good decor. “They’re so stuffy and hard to move in.” 

Sans smiled, “Can I see it at least once?” 

“...” Red looked away, then he muttered. “Y-You can come visit me at work.” 

“Yeah?” Sans felt his soul pulse with warmth. 

“B-But you can’t interrupt!”

“Naturally. I’d hate to have more work in my hands because of it. It’d be the death of me.” Because he was sure that if he did interrupt, with Red governing life, he’d actually do harm by causing more deaths in his hands. Heh,

Red laughed at the lame pun, and Sans found him even more precious. 

Sans quietly watched Red do his work from a good distance. 

Seeing the look of concentration on the other had his soul thump hard against his in quick tandem. 

There was not enough words that could completely describe this beauty in front of him, and for the lack of thereof, he’d have to make do with one word. 

Beautiful. 

And thus their story ends here. 

It was a blast drawing them, and found the whole light banter thing really cute in my head so I had to. I HAD TO! XD

I love historical clothing~ Especially the chinese and japanese ones because of so many layers XD
