New Year's Drabble
It’s not long now til the ball drops, and the year 2013 will come to a close, and everyone will welcome the year 2014. Being the last day of the year, the cafe is really lively with it’s workers this time, not dressed in their maid outfits, but this time in their casual winter clothing. Ash smiles softly, greeting friends, and regulars, as they laughed and conversed of good memories of this year that happened.
Feeling her hair ruffled Ash made a face, but her expression changed seeing non other than the Slayer herself. "Happy New year kid." Lovina says with a grin, as she held up a bottle of champagne, bought at the last minute at the liquor store across the street. Ash smiles and shakes her head, knowing it would be useless to remind the Italian woman that a three year age difference didn’t make her a kid. "Happy New Year to you Lovina. Good to see you not covered in blood or ecto-plasm" Ash replies, taking the bottle, and putting it in a bucket of ice.
This year has been quite interesting for the waitress. Especially since Lovina set foot in her hometown, and because of one mission, caused the two to start an odd, but good friendship.

ten more seconds. Just ten more seconds before the clock struck midnight. Ash handed lovina a glass as they watched the screen, where in another state, people gathered to watch the glass ball drop. "So any resolutions for the new year?" Ash asks Lovina, taking a sip from her glass. Lovina tapped her chin for a good few seconds. and shrugged. "Don’t get killed?" Lovina replies. "Good point."
as the last three seconds of the clock passed by, everyone around them cheered, screaming happy new year, cracking open the confetti poppers (I don’t know what their called) couples gave each other a peck on the cheek, while others had a full blown make out session. While those two, while they didn’t have much to say, they just gave each other looks, just knowing what they’re saying to each other. Happy New Year ((For the italian slayer :3 I had this planned out so I hope you enjoy this!))
