Active me, again sightseeing hard. Excuse the short interruption of the Osaka trilogy, this more recent experience calls for sharing.

With my tandem partners, I usually only do tandems. So, because it’s holidays and we all love exciting diversions from daily routine, we decided to do a day trip for once. We went for Kawagoe as a destination because, erm, I don’t know, it just came up. It’s one of the usual Tokyo day-trip destinations, I suppose.

I’ll comment a bit more under the photos this time but end the intro at this point, I’m still tired from writing the Osaka one. Pah.

Exiting the station, this is what Kawagoe looks like: not much, to be honest, but a rectangular street layout and mountains in the faraway. 

The people are not too exciting, either. It’s mainly a commuters’ town, I’m afraid.

I liked those, though.

Well.

They love Times rent-a-car, though.

And they wildly cross roads.

Perhaps a bit shady in character, too.

They don’t stand in line like all the others. They despise uniformity!

“Je déteste l’uniformité” is what they say often.

They appreciate long, mainstream shopping streets.

They break through gender stereotypes like Trump through Obamacare.

They combine old and new. This is a fame ramen shop, closed at the time of writing. Haha. The time of hunger, of course. Joke.

They like colours.

A temple. No clue about the name. Not too many there, though, easy to identify to the enlightened tourist.

Loads of old figures. There are over 500 of them, each represents a virtue, as designated by Buddha – something like that.

Not sure about those virtues in particular.

This is near what Kawagoe is actually fame 4, namely their history in sweets production – they shops were closed, no idea if they’re tasty. However, the street is niiiceee, great buildings, I luv it bigly.
