It's about a kindergarten teacher named Amanda Nagatomo who is trying to deal with her abusive father. She is dealing with the repercussions of her abusive childhood, and how those repercussions affect her marriage. Her husband is very supportive of her, but she struggles to communicate with him. In the end, she learns how to properly communicate her problems and cuts contact with her father.

I've thought about making a student in her class have an extremely permissive parent to contrast her own controlling father, which would also compare two different but harmful parenting styles. But I haven't fully committed to this idea.

Right now, the story is just a drama, but I've thought about leaning into horror. I've thought about using flashbacks/nightmares as a way to include some dreamlike horror.
