So, Ann and I took a little trip to Harrisburg last evening and stopped at the Keystone Conference which was being held at the Sheraton. In addition to meeting some old and new friends, we got to meet someone who has been very important in my transition. Many of you have seen my posts about a book that I have read and am now re-reading via the audible book, Love Lives Here, by Canadian author, Amanda Jetté Knox. She met up with us for drinks last evening, and all I can say is what I said to her, "I can die a happy woman now...but I won't." I was so upset 2 years ago when the conference was cancelled because of covid. She was scheduled to be one of the keynote speakers then, and when I saw that she had been rescheduled to be a keynote speaker this year I was even more upset because I was unable to attend the conference. So, a big thank you to Ann for indulging me at the last minute when I got the idea to take a road trip to Harrisburg last evening, and a big thank you to Amanda for taking the time just to sit and talk for a little bit. Also, I'm sorry if I didn't get to see everyone that I had hoped to see there. I know that some of you asked me if I would be going and I had said that I knew I wouldn't be able to attend the conference, but this last minute trip was totally unplanned.
