#lost special

(spoilers for hoenn volumes if you haven't read those yet)

did a better ref of ruby and sapphires lost special au designs. so like instead of archie and maxie getting possessed it's flipped and these two get the legendary supernatural orb possession. personally i love that bit of lore they included in the manga and i wanted to go with something that included that so somehow Groudon and Kyogre are still awake but immobilized by the gym league + steven and Wallace, but are still able to take control of ruby and sapphire through the orbs and basically set out to find a way to you know not be immobilized anymore so they can brawl it out or whatever

which is where i figure emeralds arc comes in with jirachi

i did post it once before but its going here to I don't care 🗣️🗣️

but basically the two legendaries set out in ruby and sapphires body to find jirachi. meanwhile emerald, who was raised by Zinnia in this au

(this was @digitalsnail 's idea!! they have really wonderful art of their own au i suggest looking love their art 🙏)

but also comes in search of jirachi for their own reasons and ends up meeting not only crystal, gold and oak who are there to investigate but also surprise 🎉🎉 ruby and sapphire who are also trying to capture jirachi

then its just a brawl out to see who can get the wish but i gotta stay true to rald's character, eventually they are the one who ends up protecting jirachi from the two

thinking about giving them a cool staff as a weapon and a shuppet companion. but this design is based on

@calmeremerald 's au idea from a while back where emerald was trained by Zinnia which I thought sounded super fucking cool
