Signifier goes over the rise of Candice Owens from her days as that chick who argued for Nationalism and Hitler, her days at the Daily Wire, and more recently, back as an independent actor spreading dangerous white supremacist conspiracy theories, all while using her Blackness and cis femininity as a shield.

aka, the Palestine video F.D. was talking about in "Why I Left the (white) Left". Goes over the commodification of Palestine in mainstream and indie [media] spaces, and how the right has captured anti-zionist sentiment through "America First" sentiment and antisemitic conspiracy theories.

(1) Signifier, toward the end, makes a very clarifying point: If you experience despair watching videos that show the breadth of a problem, then the best thing you can do with those emotions is to find people who feel the same and organize. Whether it's in an org (PSL, RFSO, WFP, DSA, etc), within your neighborhood, or talking to people about what you've learned and meeting them where they are.

It is a remedy of a sort, and as long as you don't psych yourself out thinking about things ten, twenty years down the road and work on the day-to-day, you'll find that paralyzing feeling of, "What do I do?" won't be as overwhelming. It's not a silver bullet, and you'll have to learn to work with people, learn to de-escalate and argue, but it helps. I am speaking from experience.

There will always be caveats, exceptions, and amendments that will have to be made, but that shouldn't turn you away from organizing, and I hope wherever you land, organizers and individuals can be accommodating.

(2) Mohammed el Kurd's Perfect Victims gets to the emotional and personal aspects of what living through and watching people react to the genocide in Palestine is like. Certainly about the politeness the world expects of Palestinians, and the anger is palpable. It's definitely a book I recommend folk pick up.

I’m gonna throw a wild guess and say that Lost Futures cover might be a Marshall Arisman piece, or at the very least Arisman-lite? He was involved with the Dell Abyss line, though seemingly (as far as I can tell) with covering Kathe Koja’s novels.
