One of the rare glimpses of the Atlantean civilisation in Escaflowne! I find it interesting that all the Draconians we see in Atlantean times were blonde or silver haired since Varie is dark haired. Maybe there were dark haired Draconians back in ancient times but they don't appear in the series, or perhaps Varie has Draconian ancestry along with other heritage. Maybe the few surviving Draconians decided to intermarry with people of other races to keep their legacy alive? What do you think?
