Many of my own trans friends did not agree with how a pronoun overshadowed the reality of the 6 deaths. The ones outraged about it had little to no empathy for the families who lost them. If the trans community is in such support of their own, as they say, then why did they fail Aiden? Clearly, Aiden was struggling with some very profound mental issues. I'm quite certain someone in his trans community knew about these thoughts. About his own past with the school pastor molesting him. He chose to become a male so he'd feel safer because the pastor had targeted girls. My own sister, for a very long time, wished to be male, not understanding why. So when I told her our father didn't like boys, which is why I dressed so masculine growing up, it clicked for her. This is why mental health needs to be a priority for those wanting to transition. Get to the root of those needs and fears. But those of the radical trans groups are willing to forgo any health concerns to increase their numbers. Despite the suicides, regrets, and loss of support by the LGBTQ+ communities. Those Aiden killed had nothing to do with his trauma. His intention had been to do even more damage. He'd used this opportunity to basically commit suicide. Which was a cowards way by taking so many innocent souls in the process. Not to mention, those children may have later on in life become part of his own community or their greatest supporters.

To the parents of those killed by Aiden, my heart breaks. They dropped their children off and got a call saying someone with a mental illness took them away. The adults will never get to see their children and grandchildren grow up. So I wish the radical side can learn to recognize that not just 7 lives were extinguished that day. Future lives were taken as well in that moment.
