Β The costume was used again in π»ππ πΉπππππ π΄ππ in 1944, where it was worn by Jeanne Bates as Phyllis Lake. Β There is no costume designer attributed to the film (according to IMDb), apart from Eugene Joseff. As Joseff was known for his jewelry, not costumes, another designer would have made this dress. π¨ π΅ππππ ππ πΉπππππππ came out a year after head costume designer Robert Kalloch left Columbia, so itβs somewhat plausible he could have made this piece. I found notes on this photo mentioning that Howard Greer is responsible for this gown, though I can find no indication that he was at Columbia at this time.
