Lore time 💪💪 warning for neglect and verbal abuse, if this triggers u plz do not read further.

So in my AU Tweaks mom was a bit different than in canon I believe [ ? ]. She was really only around for Tweak when Tweak was younger but they never really ' clicked ' if that makes sense, maybe it was because her mother and Marsh weren't doing so good or maybe it was for another reason but they just never truly connected.

During the early days when Tweak was really young and her mom and Marsh hadn't split up yet, her mom was careless at best and neglectful at worst. She barely changed or fed Tweak, often just leaving her in her crib while she went and did other things. She would scream and shout whenever Tweak got loud or needed something and would demand Marsh deal with it.

When Tweak was around 6 - 8 Marsh and her mom finally split up, splitting custody with Marsh getting her for a two weeks and then her mom getting two weeks.

As Tweak grew she slowly started to realize how her mother actually was and slowly started resenting her and going over to her house. Half the time her mother wasn't there either, Tweak often stayed up into the night waiting for her mother to come back home from whatever she was doing.

In the picture above we see Tweak about to go to her mother's house, she's about 10 - 13 here which was abt the time where she started talking to Marsh abt how she didn't want to go over to her mom's house anymore.

Onto the update : the reason I've been gone so much and haven't really posted is cuz I've been caught up in an art block, family stuff, AND some mental shii. Imma try and be more active but if im not then y'all know why 💔💔💔

A few minutes pass before the jumble of thick static begins to twist into something more recognizable. A muffled dialogue.

"...wwwe won't be able to help if you if you don't give a clear answer."

His metal chair creaks as leans in closer.

"I... I didn't know..."

The cold of his office couldn't compare to the icy chill of recognition he feels himself plunge into as he realizes something. He knows that voice. His shaking hands fumble with his keys as he unlocks the filing cabinet connected to his desk, retrieving a file under the initials E. M.

"...You can't tell us anything about it? Can you really not see it at all?"

"...no..."

Judging by the line of questioning, the dialogue can be attributed to one of the Foundation's initial interview logs; the first conducted interview following the containment of a new anomaly.

"Could you at least tell us when you first noticed it manifest?"

"...I don't... I don't know."

The shuffling of papers and the scribbling of pen fills each moment of silence the audio log brings.

"Please remain seated, SCP-13998. Do not remove your--"

The crackle of corruption.

"--until instructed to do so."

The machine clicks as Squires removes the tape, using his pen to rewind it before re-inserting it for the seventeenth time. He shuffles through the substantial pile on his desk, papers ranging from an audio transcription to several pages of jumbled notes he had accumulated over the past few hours. He holds his pen up to his mouth as he absentmindedly mutters to himself.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-13998 is to be kept in a standard 5 m x 5 m humanoid containment cell at Site █. Standard meals will be provided 3 times daily.

SCP-13998 should be outfitted with an approved facial covering at all times. This covering may only be removed during testing, or when the subject requests to bathe.

At least two armed guards should be present whenever the removal of SCP-13998’s facial covering is necessary.

Under no circumstances should personnel make direct eye contact with SCP-13998.

Personnel exhibiting erratic or unusual behavior after contact with SCP-13998 are to be quarantined and given a full mental evaluation.

Description: SCP-13998 appears to be a Caucasian female in its mid-twenties. Other than a significant stature of 216 cm (or 85~ inches), the subject seems normal in most respects.

SCP-13998’s anomalous effects only activate when direct eye contact is made with a human or similarly sapient creature. Once this has been held for approximately 10-30 seconds, the subject making eye contact with SCP-13998 will begin to experience vivid hallucinations.

The duration of time these hallucinations remain and their lasting effect on the subject’s mental state appear to have a direct correlation to the length of time eye contact has been held. Multiple exposures to SCP-13998, even after a significant period of no exposure, have also been found to intensify the hallucinogenic effects.

Subjects found to have poor mental health prior to contact also appear to be affected on a more severe level, compared to a subject with a healthy mental state.

Reported hallucinations range variably. Milder cases of exposure to SCP-13998 can include visuals comparable to hallucinogenic drugs (ex. LSD). More severe cases of exposure include full delirium and vivid hallucinations indistinguishable from reality. Audible hallucinations and tactile sensations have also been reported.

Discovery: SCP-13998 was discovered on █/█/1998, taking shelter in an abandoned shack in ████, ██ ████, United States.

SCP-13998 claims to have fled from ████ Hospital, where it was being treated for multiple injuries following a physical assault at its former workplace at ████ Labs. All involved parties from both locations have been amnetcizied following interview.
