She’s never felt need like his. Their kiss now turning into something more passionate. His hands find her hair instead of her face, & she finds herself melting into him. His touch, his kindness… all of it. She’s never known safety & love until she met him.

“Have you had sex before?” He murmurs against his lips. The question takes her slightly aback. Miyo didn’t even think she was attractive enough for sex… let alone was there anyone ever interested in it with her.

But the question doesn’t scare her. Not in the way she thought it might. She wants to be bare with him, she wants to show him how much she trusts him. So she shakes her head no before: “But with you… I would.”

That’s when his hands move with even more purpose. Kiyoka moves so carefully, but with such demand at the same time. “I’d like to. But I don’t know — I’ve never…” she trails off, pulling back enough to look into his ocean eyes.

She hadn’t even realized such a thing could appear somewhere outside of her sleep. A gasp falls from her mouth, her feet seem planted on the ground. Frozen in horror.

These monsters that haunted her nightmares. They are right here, & she finds herself unable to accept quick enough. It lunges for her but at the last second, Lord Kudou is there. His powers create a protective shield as he pulls her into him, spinning her around so she’s not in the path of danger.

But what if he gets hurt — but then, her doubts are put to rest as he sets her down gently … & then flames consume the creature trying to hurt them. Within seconds, he’s taken care of it.

“ Oh! ” She really isn’t used to being read so well. Or she guesses, she isn’t used to being read at all. Most of the time, no one cared what she thought. Or in Kaya’s case, they knew, & just didn’t care — or worse, loved the painful looks only.

But she blinks in the restaurant before slowly nodding. “ I’m sorry, I’ve just never tried it like this before. ” Well, more like she’d tried it another way & hated it. This was more bearable though. The last time, it was scraps from her family’s dinner night out.

“ It’s okay, I like the salad, ” she says, hoping he would not waste money by sending it back or getting her something else. But after a few seconds, Miyo does something unexpected: asks a question. ( Her family loathed those. )

A blush floods her cheeks at the contact. Contact like that was so rare for her in the first place. After everything went down with Kaya, Miyo was trying to be more... open with Lord Kodou. But she isn't expecting herself to say, " Thank you. " in her tiny little voice.
